Laboratory Testing

ENGINEERING SERVICES

Retrieved samples will have laboratory tests to obtain the required parameters for the foundation design or other purposes.

Apart from the index property test, the strength and deformation characteristics of the soil are usually tested.

We are equipped to carry out the necessity tests required for engineering purposes. Test procedures comply with ASTM, British Standards, or other widely accepted standards.
Routine testing includes:

  1. 1. Classification testing
  • a. Moisture content and Atterberg limits
  • b. Grain size analysis and bulk density
  1. 2. Classification testing
  • a. Standard/modified proctor tests
  • b. CBR
  1. 3. Strength tests
  • a. Unconfined compressive strength
  • b. Triaxial-UU (Unconsolidated Undrained) test
  • c. Triaxial-CU (Consolidated Undrained) test
    • i. With pore pressure measurement
    • ii. Without pore pressure measurement
  • d. Direct shear test
  • e. Vane shear test
  1. 4. Deformation tests
  • a. Consolidation test
  • b. Swelling test
